There are many different kinds of bravery-there's the physical courage that allows certain people to rescue others from burning buildings or fight in wars, then there's courage in standing up to society and saying something is wrong, risking being ostracized or worse, standing firm in the face of one's convictions. There's also the kind of courage that allows one to keep getting up after failures and not giving up. There's the kind of courage that let's one care for people who are very hurt or dying or too insane to recognize you.
I hope your students don't fall into the assumption that just because someone doesn't do the big, flashy stuff that he or she isn't brave.
