Going to the sources, if Dracula is from 1897, see "Carmilla", a day vampire, 
by J.Sheridan Le Fanu (first print, 1872, short stories novel "In a Glass 
Darkly"), and from the famous frankenstein 18 June night whe have also "The 
Vampire" by J. W. Polidori, published in 1819.
