People can be catlike. I used to hiss like a cat as a child myself.
Doesn't necessary point at her being an Animagus.

However, it seems like there are VERY few 'registered' Animagus, not all
that few people able to become one. Somehow I think it might be
extremely hard to get registered and you might have to pass some sort of
test(s) to qualify. What happens to those who don't qualify to be
registered? What happens to registered Animagus? Do they have spells
placed on them to notify the MOM anytime they change forms or something
that would make being registered worthless? There's certainly SOME
reason why James, Peter, Sirius and Rita never registered and only
Minerva is. Note that Hermione didn't say there was only 1 Animagus in
the last 100 years, she said only 1 REGISTERED one. Tonks has the
natural 'born' ability to change her hair and looks, so there is
obviously more types of transforming then just turning into an animal
(Animagus). Do Metamorphmagus like Tonks have to register to? One
assumes so.
