Could this simply be a reference to the fact that Ginny will turn out
to be the one who 'watches out' for Harry the most.
My reasoning being she's still kind of on the sidelines, ie; not as
involved as Ron and Hermione. She seems to be very intuitive were
Harry's emotions and moods are concerned, and as she had a major
crush on him in the earlier books she probably spent a lot of time in
the common room just observing him.
This sort of ties in with Mrs Figg setting her many, many cats to
look out for Harry when in Privet Drive. The much discussed quote
(possibly not exact as no book handy) -
"there was no one around - not EVEN a cat" (emphasis mine).
That's my thought anyway as I don't believe Our Ginny's about to
sprout a tail or whiskers, although as she's one of my fave's and I
like cat's I'm sure she'd be very cute...
Thanks for listening to the ramble
