I never imagined it would go that far before, but I must say that 
you have a point.  I think *at the very least* that it's significant 
that we've found out that Harry will be "of age" when he turns 
seventeen, which will occur right around the beginning of book 
seven.  So, Harry will not need anyone's permission to be going 
where he feels he needs to go or doing what he needs to do.

Of course, where ever Harry is in the last book is bound to be the 
center of the action, anyway -- Voldemrot will see to that.
