I'll start off by saying I won't reply to everything else you've
said because frankly it would be too long.
Anyway, the Cho thing is over, and thank goodness because I never
liked the idea in the first place. It seems to me Harry was more
infatuated with Cho than anything. Sure he had feelings for her, but
they weren't based on much except her looks and her friendlyness
towards him. My reason for saying that is prior to OOP there was
never any real interaction between the two. He only knew her from
afar, and once they finally did get together it was clear no real
relationship could come of it. There weren't any mutual friends and
the only thing they had in common was Quidditch. You don't need to
sahre the same friends in order to be a couple, but in their case it
shows the differences as well as the two opposite teenage worlds in
which they exist. Plus, Cho brought Cedric up in conversation way
too much. I understand her need to talk about it, especially with
the person who was there when he died, but at the same time she
should have waited until they had developped a more concrete
relationship (a relationship where they could talk about anything
without the constant awkwardness), not when everything's new. Who
could blame Harry for being resentful at the idea?
Harry needs someone who won't get jealous at the mention of him
spending time with one of his closest friends, and who can stimulate
him not only emotionally and physically, but also intellectually,
and won't go to pieces practically everytime they're together. He
needs more of a challenge. *COUGHGINNYCOUGH* ;)
That's all I have to say on that- for now anyway. :)
