Missy :

I don't understand why DD would want the fact that Percy is on the
inside kept from Molly and Arthur. What good would it cause? What
would the point be?

Me :

Keep in mind that this is all just a theory. The way I see it, it
could very well be that Arthur knows the truth and staged the whole
fight with Percy. But Molly mustn't know because... Well, I don't
want to offend anyone, but Molly doesn't seem a good enough actress.
She's so emotional. If she knew Percy was working undercover, she
would inevitably make blunder upon blunder. It would only be in front
of other members of the Order, but still... Another reason is that
she's stressed enough the way she thinks things are. You've seen how
she reacts to that Boggart (and as a wife and mom myself, I admit
that my heart went out to her on that one, I completely understand
the constant terror she lives in), so can you imagine how horribly
scared she would be if she had to worry about Percy being discovered
any time ?
Just a theory, though. The main point that bothers me with it is that
it's a very high price for her to pay, thinking one of her sons
doesn't love them anymore... But I can't help but remember that Percy
was in Gryffyndor, not in Slytherin, and that it must say something
about his courage and his ambition.
