Okay, now that I'm recovered. Where to start without offending
anyone...hell, can't do it, but I'll try. You have to see things from more than one point
of view. You can't just say "Oh! Harry and his friends are the good guys so
they can do whatever they damn well please!" It don't work like that. No one
ever deserves to die. Maybe I'm just over reacting but you in essence just
told us to quit bitching. So we should just all lie down and see things black
and white? No thank you. It could just be that the first two are things I
believe are wrong and it felt like a personal attack...

Me: I do see things from more than one point of view, but I still see that
Harry and crew are in the right in just about everything they do, and I do believe that, "Harry and his friends
are the good guys, so they can do whatever they damn well please." I can actually
think of quite a few people that "deserve to die." I wasn't really trying to say quit
bitching, but more along the lines of just chill out a bit, there is no need to take it so
personally. I'm not saying see things only in black and white, but to look at the story and see how whatever it was that
happened affected Harry. If Harry is okay with it, then we should be too. I guess my problem is that since Harry is the
main character, I judge everything by how it affects him. It seems that people
get a little worked up over something that happened in the book and act like it really happened.
No offense to those that do this.

That's what a good book does in my opinion, it gets you involved using your
own feelings and opinions. They're not really complaints so much as topics.
You can feel however you want about topics, you can even feel that we should
shut up, but they're still our opinions. I think that was a little harsh of you
  to say.

Me: I agree with this. I get so deep into books that sometimes I forget which is real and which is fantasy. I put my own
values into my reading just like everybody else, but I do (somehow) manage to remember that there is no need to get upset if
one of the good characters does something not so good. I'm all for people speaking their opinions, it just gets kinda boring/annoying
to read about people (no offense to those that have done this) feeling sorry for Dudley when Harry picked on him. Or getting mad at F/G
for stomping/stepping on Malfoy, not after all the bad things those characters have done. I understand that some folks may not agree
with that, but look at the plot, and go from there. Those characters "deserve" whatever they get due to their actions throughout the books.
I mean, I know that some folks "like" Draco or Snape or heck, I'm sure there
is someone somewhere that even liked Umbridge, but from the way they treat Harry and Co.,
I just can't bring myself to feel sorry for anything that happens
to them. Now, that is my personal view based on Harry's view. Like I said before, this list has very thought
provoking discussions for the most part and to have it cluttered with...how to put this? Uhm...stuff of this nature
detracts from it. I'm all for discussion on all kinds of topics, but c'mon, people up in arms because Harry ragged on Dudley
  just seems...weird to me.
