Hi Kristini

I'm tending to agree wuth you on this. I have found the Lexicon an
absoultely indespensable aid when thinking about these posts, but my
investigations disagree here too. I posted on this yesterday but a
quick run down of 'facts' follows.

1 - AD becomes Head Master, RL et all, go to school (as far as I know
there is no canon to help with these dates other than after 1942 and
before 1991)
2 - The Quibbler article on the train in OOP states Fudge became
minister 5 yrs ago (1990). I assume this is when AD was offered the
job as when Hagrid talks about CF 'pelting' AD with owls in PS/SS it
sounds quite recent.
3 - it took Mad-eye 6 months to track down Karkaroff, so the earliest
he could have been on trial is 1982 (I always think it took them
longer to locate the Longbottoms tormentors, and we don't know when
Neville had to go live with Grandma, but 1982 is the earliest Crouch
snr popularity could wane).

That's the three main points that spring to mind, but there may be
more as my head is so full of timeline stuff as a personal project.

The other thing about AD that confuses me is did he become Head
Master when Prof McGonagall got the Transfiguration job, as this
means he was Headmaster before Lupin etc were even born???

Probably hasn't cleared anything up, but at least you know someone
agrees with you...
