Hmmm....perhaps with the Draught of Living Death. I wondered if
that would ever come into play.

I doubt his friends would care if he lost his magical abilities.
They certainly wouldn't let him run off to live a solitary life as a
muggle. Afterall, love is the real magic of life.
My scenerio of the day.....Harry survives through some sort of
trickery (assisted by D. or the twins.) V. dies and becomes a ghost
or achieves immortality (stuck for eternity somewhere unpleasant--
perhaps in a Gringotts vault?) The four Hogwarts houses finally
merge. Having found out he is the heir of Gryffindor, Harry has to
step aside for the sake of school unity. And ultimately, he has to
leave Hogwarts--his "home."
