Hi,
interesting theory, but I think you are wrong :))

The crux point is, that Harry is not going to be an auror.

Well, of course, we all think he is The Best (wink, wink, nudge,
nudge), but really, he is not suited for that role. As much as we like
him, the truth is that he is impulsive and rather controlled by his
heart than his brain. He seems to me to be too easily predictable and
manipulable - just harp on his feelings, pride or bravery.

IMO, his desire to become an auror was caused by his actual fighting
Voldie in the present and, I suspect, by Crouch!Moody implanting this
idea into his mind. He has apparently happily forgotten how
Crouch!Moody was ridiculing him in the end of GOF, calling him stupid,
when Harry could not believe what he had just heard.

This of course is not a big flaw - the deceit was a really good one -
but IMO it shows that Harry does not posess the right *mindset*. I
think you should be much more paranoid, more like Moody, to be a good
auror. (of course, it depends on what they really do. I imagine them
being something like secret agents or counter-espionage ppl. Maybe
they are just policemen).

So what career he should choose?

I suspect that it was suggested here before, but since the 21st,
reading this forum whole is not feasible for me, so I will state it
here anyway:

Harry should become DADA teacher at Hogwarts. In OOP we see that he is
really good in teaching - passionate and kind, creative and above all,
successfull. He had the advantage of pupils willing to learn, of
course, and he was learning a a lot in the process, but it is
significant that one of his students (?Ernie?) praised his lessons as
the most important save only the OWL preparations.

To conclude, I firmly believe, that if Harry lives in the end of the
book 7 (which is, alas, not certain), he is going to become Hogwarts'
first DADA teacher in many years, who lasts more than one year.
