I have to agree with you there that Harry would be a great DADA 
teacher.  But I'm going to take it a step further and say that he 
might be the first (at least that we know of) Student teacher at 
Hogwarts.  No one else wants the postion (except Snape that is) and 
Hary has already proven him self to be able to teach the "misfits" of 
the school how to do amazing things.  It would definatly make for an 
interesting plot twist.  Seeing how Harry would fit in Quidich 
practice, studying, and lesson planning.
