Hermione's parents an easy target?

If I was in Voldemorts shoes and I wanted to cause some damage to the trio, I 
would probably attack Hermione's parents. Being Muggles they would probably be 
a fairly easy target for the Death Eaters, and any aggressive act would have a 
significant effect on Hermione's cool and logical personality. Would she go to 
pieces emotionally (as would be the objective) or become stronger, more 
determined and bent on revenge? It would certainly introduce an interesting 
plot line for the last two books. Lucius Vs Hermione  yeah!
