sexism regarding Hermione

Except that's realistic. 

That's the kind of thing that happens to high-school age kids.

The brainiac kids are not considered cool and are so overlooked 
because of it...until they show that they can be just as gorgeous as 
other kids.

Hermione said herself that she would've ended up having her teeth 
fixed orthodontically by her parents' wishes.   And Hermione is smart 
enough to know that braces take *years*  and they *hurt*.  I can't 
really fault her as having worn braces myself, for wanting the quick 
and painless method here.

I had the same thing happen to me, personally in school. Nobody paid 
attention to the nerdy brainiac girl until she showed up in a killer 
dress prom night.

I cheered for Hermione because she deserves to be appreciated for 
more than her brains, and sooner than a month before her graduation.
