"Cho = "And that's not to mention all the tasks he had to get through
in the Tournament last year - getting past dragons and merepeople and
Acromantula and things"

Which begs a couple of questions

If the spider he and Cedric faced WAS an Acromantula, how did they
get it into the maze and how does Cho know about it?

If the spider wasn't one, that does Cho know more than we think about
events of CoS?"

You know what, I thought the exact same thing when I was reading this. I
always thought it would be amusing if Cho was evil. Maybe Voldie or one of
his DE's knew Harry had a thing for her and they manipulated Cho into
distracting Harry. Or she could have actually blamed Harry for Cedric's
death and vowed to get him back? Or even yet, she was placed at Hogwarts for
Harry to be distracted by? I don't know! But I think she's up to something
and probably something foul. Maybe I should start shipping Draco/Cho. ;o)

"Firenze tells us that the Wizarding World is on the brink of a great
war...With two books left, can this be a Great War as we only have two years
left with Harry? The war hasn't really even started
yet...Compared to the last war of 14 or so years, can JKR convey that this
is war in the remaining books?"

Actually, I think "The Great War" never really ended. It seems like JKR is
modeling these two wars after WWI and WWII. Many historians actually regard
them as two parts of one big, great long nearly 40 year war. I just think
that the first part of the war was warm-up, and now it's going to start to
get hairy. (No pun intended ;o) ) More people will die, I guarantee you. My
vote for the next two: Percy and Fudge.

"2. Percy had a big fight with his family and made his mother cry. Also, a
shame. But it will now be fixed."

Actually, I don't think it's going to be fixed. Percy is going to become
further estranged from his family and eventually he'll be killed (possibly
by Draco in a test of loyalty to his father and Voldemort so he can become a
full-fledged DE). Percy said some very hurtful things to his mother and
father, he dissed DD who he used to have a great respect for, and he tried
to convince Ron to de-friend Harry. Sometimes, "I'm sorry" isn't going to
cut it. Who agrees?

"I was wondering what you think about the teachers having spouses. Are they
fellow teachers?
Are they people that we have aready have met in the books? Are they people
we will soon meet?
Who do you think is actually married?"

Hmmm...I don't think DD and McG are married. There is at least a 50 year age
difference between the two of them. I'm not saying that would stop them, but
what if McG is DD's granddaughter or something twisted like that. My vote
for married staff members would be Professors Flitwick and Sprout. To each
other. ;o) HEHEHE.
