While I am not one to critique the theroys of others (as theroy is
part of the fun of the potter universe), I have to say... there is NO
foreshadowing (a Rowling must) in having this happen. In fact,
Rowling has said that we will never see James or Lily alive again.
While Im sure anything is possible, it just wouldn't make much sense
for James to become a werewolf for one, not tell Harry anything for
years for another and then make yet another switch (in becoming
Harry) to boot. That and Lupin has shown NONE of James's personality
(which would be a big indicator of such a switch).
So this isn't to stifle creative thinking, but there has been
absolutely no hints (which is essential for a good mystery) to
suggest this happening and it contradicts Rowling's own statements
about James and Lilly.
While body parts definetely play a part in the mystery (both Lily and
Harry AND voldemort having green eyes) I don't think this is
something that can/will happen.
