James will kill V., so Harry never has to make that
unforgiveable "choice" and afterward he will "switch" back just in
time for Lupin's death (from Lucius Malfoy or other DE)to be a
sacrifice which saves Harry...
<Lupin wolf wrote:>
While I am not one to critique the theroys of others (as theroy is
part of the fun of the potter universe), I have to say... there is NO
foreshadowing (a Rowling must) in having this happen.

<A.G.> Respectfully disagree-lots of foreshadowing that Lupin is a
truly skilled DADA wizard; has "close" relationship with Harry; wants
Voldemort vanquished, yada, yada.

<L.W.> wrote: In fact, Rowling has said that we will never see James
or Lily alive again.

<ME, A.G.> SEE is the operative word-for James body no longer
exists, just his soul (if you buy the theory)

<L.W., again> While Im sure anything is possible, it just wouldn't
make much sense for James to become a werewolf for one, not tell
Harry anything for years for another and then make yet another switch
(in becoming Harry) to boot.

<A.G.> So, if I am reading your point correctly, it would not make
sense for a JKR character to know something for years which affects
the lives and peace of mind of others, maybe even their safety and
not disclose it. If that is true why did JKR make most of Book 5
about nondisclosure and its impacts? Sirius' secrets, and
Dumbledore's secret knowledge of the prophecy(held secret for 15
years) belie the argument.

<L.W. wrote>: That and Lupin has shown NONE of James's personality
(which would be a big indicator of such a switch).

<A.G.> WHY? Have we previously been told that we would see the
switchee's personality quirks? Too, if you believe the theory, one
would say Lupin has not shown any of Lupin's personality, not James-
because he has been James for last 15 years.

<L.W.>
So this isn't to stifle creative thinking, but there has been
absolutely no hints (which is essential for a good mystery)

<A.G.> Hints galore if you beleive what UUGTTMHP tells us and have
read JKR's interview transcripts.

<L.W.> to suggest this happening and it contradicts Rowling's own
statements about James and Lilly.

<A.G.> As pointed out we haven't *seen* James-what other possible
contradictions are there?
Lupin wolf, I really enjoyed hearing from you-debating you-you have
some good insights which may cause me to stray from this theory.

Atropos G. (who will play devil's advocate and stick w/ this
unoriginal theory until another theory with "sparks" comes along)
