I suspect the war may not hit Hogwarts directly.  Harry remains an underage wizard and student, and his participation with the OOP should not dominate book 6.  These stories are ultimately about Harry's coming of age... Stormbringer

We're also dealing with a war on multiple levels. For us as avid readers, we see the generals planning, and the principal actors. This war's outcome will be decided by the ultimate destruction of either Harry or Voldy (arguably). The remaining "war" can  be as gruesome, widespread and nasty as any muggle war, but it won't be dealt with by JK as much as she will focus on the story lines already established and being developed-out. We may well see the unfolding of Voldy's war plans now that he's been unmasked. I'd like to think that Hogwarts will remain a refuge . . .
