Well, you're not alone if you find Christian symbolism in HP. Several authors have even got people like me paying for their books on the matter. :) At first, I couldn't see anything. Then as I read "The Gospel According to Harry Potter" it started popping out everywhere. I think it's a certain mine set you have to get in. If anyone wants to start a separate list for this, I'm there!

Now, I really like the I Corinthians 13 thoughts. Especially the part where prophecies will fail, tongues will cease, etc. but love never fails. I really do think that Dumbledore's telling Harry "Everything" while it wasn't what we would consider everything got down to the bottom of it all. Harry's "power the dark Lord knows not." Love. Or some form of love. No idea how that will help in the end, but I think that's the key.

While we're on the religious topic here, I was listening to the preacher last night at church and he said something that made a HP connection in my mind. He said (and he used the example of the prodigal son) as long as you're in the house, you're safe. Leave the house, and sin/devil/evil can get to you. Harry was safe as long as he was in the Dursley's house. Even being nearby evil could get to him. In the house, he was safe. Which of course is the cause for all those "don't leave the house, stay there" messages he quickly got.

So, who's heading up the new group? :)
