Now, I like most think that there is something more to this than
meets the eye, but I am here to say IMHO it's not an anagram
of "drooble's best blowing gum"
<snip>
What is the chance then that Mrs Longbottom (although she cant
communicate in any other way) has had the brain capacity not only
think of all the possible anagrams that fit her situation, but find
then a matching anagramic product that she could hand her son each
time he comes?? And, if this is the case, why didn't she use her
smarts to escape instead of hatching such a conveluted plot in the
hopes that neville would find that the name of the gum who's wrapper
he has re-arranges to spell - "help, get us out of here, our nurse is
working for voldemort"

The readers (us) are the ones looking for anagrams, not Neville. JKR
has stated that she left clues in OoP for us. IMHO, that's one.
Sure, the Longbottoms didn't invent or name Drooble's Best Blowing
Gum. But JKR did. The clue is not there for Neville to find, it's
there for the readers. My point (which apparently I didn't make too
well) was that JKR may be pointing out the gum as the source of the
Longbottoms continued insanity. Seeing as we already know that
Malfoy gives generous donations to St Mungos. I'm not saying that
all Drooble's Best Blowing Gum makes people insane. Something could
be slipped into theirs, it's not like that many people are there to
see. Even if the gum isn't the source of the problem, it could still
be a clue for *readers.* Not for Neville. For readers.

Pickle Jimmy again:
So, what you are saying is that JK invented the name "Drooble's Best
Blowing Gum" as an anagram of some secret message that has nothing to
do with the plot of the story - and by this I mean that it will never
come out in the book, it's just there for us (the reader) to work
out. She thought there may be some child* out there reading her book
who might re-arrange the letters of the gum's name to find a secret
message that would reveal to them (the reader), some secret to the
longbottoms plight. And, even though Mrs Longbottom doesn't know it,
by giving these wrappers to her son, she is pointing out to us (the
readers) that if we find the secret message in the gum's name, we'll
understand what Neville has to do to help them?

*(I say child, because Droobles first appears in PS/SS and at that
stage JK was writing a children's book with no idea of it's adult
readership)

O...K...

I can't see it, but if I am wrong, I'll be the first to eat humble
pie.

And... in the spirit of your search, let me supply a couple of
anagrams that might help:

Droobles Best Blowing Gum = MUGGLES BLOOD IT BE'S BROWN
Droobles Best Blowing Gum = TOWN BRIBES MUGGLES BLOOD
Droobles Best Blowing Gum = ST MUNGO'S EGO DRIBBLE BOWL
