Dublina types:  Yes, thought about this too on the way home last 
night....could Mrs Longbottom be that *drugged* that she can't fight 
the person administering the gum but knows that there is something 
wrong and is trying to tell her son of the problem.  I also dont see 
her being able to tell the (sorry, not sure and I dont have my book 
with me) *mother-in-law* as the grandmother just dismissed her when 
she handed the wrapper to Neville...

Also, how *drugged* is Mr Longbottom to the point where he can't even 
give his son a *message*??  Or am I just letting you guys know of the 
fact that I havent finished the book yet, and there is a mention of 
it at the end?? .....can I blame work/classes/general stress???
