A couple of questions (page references are in parenthesis) -

The Two-Way Mirrors (OOP - 838)
---------------------------------------
Did Sirius give Harry James' mirror or was a special one made for Harry ?
Where is Sirius' mirror if he did not have it with him when he went beyond
the veil?
If James had his own mirror, did DD keep it like he kept James' invisibility
cloak? Sirius (or some other wizard) made a mirror especially for Harry, can
he make another one or repair the broken one?
And .... if Harry would toss the mirror of a dead person into the veil, i
wonder what would happen............ i've been reading "The Last Battle" by
C.S. Lewis which discusses veils (masks) and doors in more detail for any
ideas.

The Many Paths That Lead Away From Hogwarts in Books 6 & 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that JKR has set the stage for Hogwarts to become a less significant
part Harry's future. There are many paths that lead away from Hogwarts -
both in time and place...

First, Hermione has been training as the student most gifted in time
manipulation - she can be in two places at once [to take extra classes] and
can also travel back in time [to save Sirius and Buckbeak] (PoA) - time
manipulation has also been a major feature of at least one of the rooms in
the MoM and I dont think that JKR will have wasted the plot lines if she
wasnt going to use them...

Second, the Veil has too many interesting and unanswered questions to just
hang out there, and Harry has at least one willing fellow adventurer in Luna
to explore what lies beyond if they can learn about its properties....

Third, the other schools in Europe were totally unexplored in OoP, and with
Krum and the Death Eater that runs away still open story lines, I dont see
these schools neglected for long .....

Book Six as A Serial Novel - Chapter of the Month a la Stephen King
------------------------------------------------------------------------
One last point, kind of off subject but maybe not, I wonder if JKR ever
thought about using the Stephen King idea of publishing one of his novels
chapter by chapter online on a subscription basis ...... I think that this
could really have a good chance of success, only the poor woman would NEVER
get any peace if she did so ... hmmmmm ?

By the way, I would love an email from anyone who can guess the reference
in the subject line .....
Sam
