Self-destruction of "essentially divided" Dark Lord

Weeeell... Tom Riddle and Voldemort fighting against each other.
I wonder if a separation would actually be possible, seeing how 
infested Riddle must be with Voldemort's evil. There can't be much 
human left in him; and should these personalities divide, Riddle 
would not have any strength to speak of... 
and I wonder how "good" Riddle-the-human is? It's not as if (as far 
as we're concerned) Voldemort was forced upon him, he made the choice 
himself and created the evil. I'm not sure how or why Voldemort's 
personalities would fight against each other... well, because of 
Harry's "power to vanquish the Dark Lord"... I just wonder *how*...
argh. The thought is interesting and something I suppose we could 
expect from JKR. Then again, we can expect anything. Or everything - 
that might be better. ;-)
