Lupin Wolfsbane Potion Question (Was:: Moon and Lupin)

The only answer I can come up with is that Lupin has to take the 
potion every night in the week leading to the full moon (including 
the night of the full moon itself).

I admit it sounds odd, but I can't think of any other way it could 
work, given what we know.
