Why JKR wrote OoP the way she did IMO

She has also stated that her books were not written to teach any lessons. I
don't have a link for the interview she said this in, but you didn't have
links for yours either. So i guess you'll just have to take my word for it.

It's sad that some people have to analyze fiction TO DEATH and end up not
enjoying it at all. If i wanted to read a "moral book" to teach me lessons
about life - i'd read the Bible. I read Harry Potter for ENTERTAINMENT - and
it does a hell of a good job entertaining me. But i guess some people want
fiction writers to teach kids life lessons so they don't have to do it
themselves...
