Because Harry knows that by Dumbledore being told the prophecy it 
would be in his memory - and a picture is worth a thousand words - 
especially if it talks ....

And notice that the propehcy is told more in complete sentences, as 
if it is clear as to what will happen. The dots and the repetition 
can be explained by the fact that Pettigrew indeed escaped twice 
during the night - once with the Time Turner and once without. If 
anything, the dots add more credence to the purposeful pauses in 
Trelawney's Harry vs. the Dark Lord prophecy

But as DD says, Harry has been far more resourceful than he ever 
expected.  Harry seems to be able to take care of himself {with a 
little help from his friends} ..... we shall see
