June:  I got the impression that this might just be JKR's little 
joke - Marvolo sounds like a bad RW stage magician "The Amazing 
Marvolo"

But of course, both your and my ideas show just how good some of the 
mind games played by JKR are and I hope we'll continue with these 
ideas. I love some of the other names too.

I particularly liked Nymphadora and Tonk's embarrassment at it.  Here 
in the UK and for all I know other places, there seems to be an 
increasing amount of parents almost making up names or using the kind 
of (to my mind anyway) very silly names that some celebrities inflict 
on their unfortunate offspring.  Nymphadora seems a bit like that.
