Perhaps its just and instinctive reaction that people hope their
children's exposure to sexuality in literature be made up mostly of
the kind of sexuality that can *ensure the continuued existence of
the human race*.
Science in its many forms may delude people that natural selection
and primal reproduction are obsolete. But, that 'science' cannot tell
you where the spark of life originates.
So, quite frankly, its a rash guess, at best, on how to perpetuate it
through science. In case someone was hoping to start with that
argument.
MHO The series won't be confirming *any* slash ships. There is no
reason or rhyme to a gay countenance in the plot. Gay and straight
are not divided into good and evil.
In previous books prejudice is considered in its most generic light.
The books have an overall message about prejudice and most likely
won't be dealing with any specific isms that we hold dear to
ourselves.
