Now me:

Well, JKR is a woman, and she depicts her male characters with the 
eyes and feelings of a woman (and this is how you happen to write 
statements of the obvious...). So it's rather normal if, for 
example, Sirius depicted from Harry's point of view is seems 
sometimes oddly attractive. Behind Harry's eyes, there are JKR's 
(oops! Is she Voldemort's ally?)
In a certain way, we can compare the way she depicts her male 
characters with the way Anne Rice depicts Lestat, Louis, Armand, 
David, etc. It's a very feminine writing. And we must admit it's 
also very suggestive: the motor of erotism...

Just some thoughts,
