Rhianyn has an odd thought as she dozes by the fire:

Suppose Lily and Petunia were only _half sisters_?   This brings up many 
interesting ideas.  Depending on who is the eldest, p'raps Lily came from a first 
marriage to someone from the wizarding world, who possibly met a bitter end 
due to magic, thereby prejudicing the widowed/dowered spouse forever to magic.  
Or if she is the youngest, p'raps the person from the wizarding world was the 
"homewrecker" which would explain a lot of Petunias prejudice.  It would also 
conveniently explain the great difference in appearance between the girls.  I 
tend to think of the mother as the common parent as they both have flowery 
names and that seems to me something a woman would carry from one marriage to the 
next.  But then of course, p'raps there was no second marriage and one of the 
sisters is illegitimate .... the plot thickens even more :)
