I'm sure JKR wouldn't do an incest thing (YUCH!) but she wouldn't
have to. Even if Harry and Ginny are related as first or second
cousins, that's okay. It was only in the 20th century that first and
second cousin marriages became taboo in Western civilization. Before
that, many people married cousins and never had three-headed
children. I think the don't marry your cousin thing came about with
the discovery of genetics. Anyhow, the cousin marriage thing has
actually been studied and they found out it can be beneficial to the
gene line. I'd bet though they'd be at most third or fourth cousins,
if they're at all related. I'm sure we don't have to sink the ship
yet.
