-- This, I think, is very important. After all, JK's approach to
death and danger has always been direct. She tells us about evil
without covering it up or sugar-coating it, as many other children's
books would. I agree with what you say about Harry coming to terms
with death, and I think it will play a major role in the series. As
will Luna - I have a feeling she's sort of a key character, someone
who is kept in the background and then steps out and kind of saves
everybody.
However...

think-
> his least favorite ally) from dying at the hand of Voldemort, (such

time.

This, now, doesn't give off JK vibes (to me, at least). Isn't it kind
of... I don't know, no offense, but... well, cheesy? The "back from
the dead" track has been done to death in so many books, movies and
television series. I think JK might have something quite bigger and
more exciting in store for us. I do believe, however, that Harry will
understand more about his own prejudice against people he isn't fond
of (like Snape, for example) and make an effort to save them from
harm - and maybe hurting himself in the process.
I guess we'll see many deaths in books 6 & 7, and I speculate Snape's
might be one of those - it seems inevitable. But I have no clue.
