Oh I so agree with your sentiment. There is a fine line between the 
accurate and necessary portrayal of the scope of human emotion and 
melodrama. I vote for JKR trying a little harder to give the full 
scope of his emotions a voice. And I vote for her giving him a few 
more people with which to connect in a real way. I was so grateful 
for his talk with Luna. It was the only healing water in a desert of 
pain. If JKR's diffidence continues, it's quite possible Harry will 
lose some of the believability he's had. In terms of all the loss 
he's had to deal with, this area is definitely on the restreained 
side. Maybe this is a bigger challenge to her because she's endured 
loss. I hope she goes for it.
