Yes, but one would have to be a fool to take money they just
transfigured straight to Gringott's, just as a muggle counterfeiter
would be a fool to just walk into the bank and deposit it. The key
would be to _spend_ it somewhere, and such that the spending would
reach several more levels before ever being deposited, to avoid it
being traced back to you...
Of course, it's much simpler to just conjure Leprechauns' gold, in any
case. I believe this was mentioned in one of the books
