inclined) which is that it's important to distinguish not only between left
and right wing views, but also between authoritarian and libertarian ones.
It's quite correct that some people on both right and left can be equally
authoritarian (or equally libertarian) as well as being opposite to one
another and perhaps this is a better framework to assess the WW than
concepts of party politics which seem not to be present.
By that token, I'd see Umbridge as strongly authoritarian but would put
Crouch, Voldemort and possibly Fudge there too. But then logically
authoritarians would gravitate towards either the DEs or the MoM anyway. I
would suspect that most wizards would lean towards the libertarian side
though.
