Well, it's well within reason to suspect that Dumbledore is an
animagus, and you are not the first person to suspect that something
is up with Hedwig or that Hedwig might be Dumbledore, so your position
does have some other supporters, but... I think Dumbledore might be a
little too busy to spend his time hanging around a teeage boy's
bedroom, or snoozing in the owlery all day.

Remember, in second year (I believe), Hedwig was locked in her cage
nearly the whole summer. That doesn't sound like something Dumbledore
would do. True there were times when he could have seeked out but
he/she was always there when ever Harry came into the room. So I don't
think so.

However, Hedwig and Dumbledore could be connected somehow, that is,
intentionally connect for the specific purpose of spying on Harry.
Although, if I were Harry and discovered this, I think I would be a
little uncomfortable with the idea. There are certain times when a
teenage boy needs his privacy; and usually needs it about six times a
day when puberty is in full force.

Then again, maybe Dumbledore simply gazes into his crystal ball, or
uses some other type of 'remote seeing' device.

Sorry, but I just can't see Dumbledore wasting all his time hanging
around a teen boys bedroom. I think someone like Dumbledore has more
sophisticated ways of keeping an eye on Harry than being Hedwig. Let's
also remember that Dumbledore said he doesn't need an invisibility
cloak to become invisible, so he could pop in on Harry anytime he
wanted to without Harry knowing it.

Just a thought.
