Snape's role in the Order

I don't know how Snape is spying on the DE's - and this irritates me
to no end. But after sifting through ootp 3 times, I believe it must
have something to do with Occlumency - because this is something
'new', it has a lot to do with Snape, and we don't know that much
about it yet. I think that Snapes roll in the Order, and Occlumency
will be a major part of the next story. At least I hope so, I didn't
get enough Snape in this book.
I still don't see how that would help him. He would need to have the
other persons memories in his head, so that he could focus on them
instead.
