I`ve just been wondering about this ever since I`ve read the chapter the most ancient house of BLack. Sirius said that Molly was a cousin by marriage and since Narcissa Malfoy is his cousin it might be possible that this is the connection between the two of them. This could also be the reason why Draco always taunts Ron about his mother.
Gimme some thoughts

I had the same idea... I think it is entirely possible, though as I think about it now, I don't really see how Molly could be a cousin by marriage to Sirius if she was indeed Molly Malfoy... unless she was a cousin in another way, too. I mean, if my cousin (in HP, Narcissa Black) got married (Lucius Malfoy), I wouldn't call my cousin-by-marriage (Lucius) sister my cousin as well. But I think there's more to the Malfoys and Weasley's than we're supposed to know at this point; they're both prominent wizarding families, and central to this series, and yet we know nothing about them. Well, almost nothing. Where is the extended family? Who are they? Did they die in the first war? Why are there no more Weasleys at Hogwarts, if "all the Weasleys have red hair and more children than they can afford" (paraphrasing from SS)?
You can read my thoughts in my post, "OoP: Molly's Relations", post #65942.
