I think that this is possible but the reason that Voldemort marked
Harry instead of Neville was because Harry was the more equal
opponent. I don't have my book with me at the moment so I can quote
but even though it could have drifted either way between Harry or
Neville based on who Voldemort picked that it ultimatley would've
been Harry because of certain family backgrounds though we don't know
for sure until we find out more about Harrys background and/or
Neville's background. Other then his parents being powerful
wizards/witches we don't know to much about his lineage, ect. Good
point, however.
