When people here discuss the final fate of Harry. I've come up with a
thought and wonder if you share with me: HP book series are memoir of
Harry.
Recently I finish reading HP book 1 to book 4 and start a bit of book
5. There're always some interesting sentences in the books, like "in
years to come, Harry would never quite remember how he had managed to
get through his exams when he half expected Voldemort to come
bursting through the door at any moment"(SS; p.191, Bloomsbury); "it
was probably the worst day of Harry's entire life"(CoS, p.218,
Bloomsbury); "when he looked back, even a month later, Harry found he
had few moemories of the following days" (GoF, p.621, Bloombery). All
these sentences remind me of a taste of memoir.
JKR in one of her recent interviews said she will give each character
his/her fate in Book 7. It's logical that, if the books are memoir,
the "storyteller" (be it Harry, if he survives), in his later days,
is able to trace back the relationship and career development of his
friends.
