Moody doesn't trust anyone.  Why should Harry be any different? :)

Truthfully, I didn't much care for the really Moody.  However, I 
hated fake Moody.  I disliked him from the time he used 
unforgivables in class and was so mean to Hermione about her 
perfectly reasonable objections.  I hated him when he turned Draco 
into a ferret and bounced him.  That is a blatant abuse of power far 
beyond anything Snape has done and is completely unacceptable. (Of 
course, he turned out to be evil so that's a non-issue.)

Bisically, I didn't muck like either Moody, but I prefer the real 
one.
