Harry's glasses are probably just another one of those uninteresting points
that isn't necessary to the plot. I'm sure the Dursleys bought him glasses
just as I'm sure they bought him underwear and all the other necessities a
human being needs. They might not have been happy about it but they must
have done it. But it doesn't really make for good literature to put in every
single detail about his life.
