did anyone think Crookshanks is a animagus form of someone we don't
know?>

Check the FAQ, and Fantastic Posts and Where To Find Them, both of
which have loads of stuff related to just *why* ol' Snapey is a vamp
<waves to Pippin>. Or not. I think the Crookshanks question also
comes up. JKR confirmed in an interview that Crookshanks is part-
Kneazle in an interview, and Animagical wizards don't have a genetic
make-up corresponding to their particular animal, because one is not
born, but becomes an Animagus. There are lots and lots of cats with
magical powers in the series - we can now pop Arabella Figg's Mr
Tibbles up there beside Crookshanks and Mrs Norris (probably all part-
Kneazle).
And Crookshanks isn't an Animagic Lily, unless the WW has discovered
a particular sex-change spell, and one to bring someone back from the
dead <sticks tongue out in the direction of the SAD DENIAL> which
work alongside the Animagus transformation (that one comes up all the
time).
Hope that helped.
