  In a deviation to the original 'Snapes, Crookshanks' thread, and as I have no access to my books at present, has anyone spotted Crookshanks in close proximity to Snape in any scenes?  Like, if the cat is definitely mentioned as being present, and Snape appears on the scene, or vice versa? 

  It's just that if Crookshanks can spot that Scabbers is essentially bad, and that the Black Dog (Sirius) is essentially good, when he has no direct experience of either's behaviour, how would he behave towards Snape?  Or does he only react to animal forms?
