In response to Marianne and everyone else who posted about Sirius being dead
or not dead...
I believe he's dead. JKR has said that if there is a theme to the Harry
Potter books, it's "facing up to death". I doubt very much that under a
theme like that she'd have Sirius brought miraculously back to life
soap-opera style. But another thing JKR has made very clear in the Harry
Potter books is that death is not the end...
