Me: I don't think it strange at all.  I rarely talk about my parents.
They are both dead and my children haven't got a clue about them. 
They just know they are dead.  But, they are *very* close to my
in-laws, their paternal grandparents.  Who live just around the block.
 And for the record I loved my parents, it is just very hard to get my
little boys interested in someone they have never seen.
