Me:  Gosh, I thought it was obvious what LM does -- I mean it's 
pretty clear he's "Doing Hard Time" at the moment.  Hee, hee, hee, 
hee.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  Actually, I completely agree with Kathryn.  
I picture him in the same mold as James Potter old money.  You know, 
the "unemployed wastrell" type.  <-- I don't have the book with me, 
but Uncle Vernon calls him something like that.  If you've got enough 
money, you don't need the old 9 - 5 job.  You can put your time to 
better uses like muggle-baiting and corruption in Malfoy's case, or 
fighting Lord Thingy in James'case.  You know JKR, it's not what 
you've got, it what you do with what you've got.
