I would've loved to just sat there and cried my eyes out when he died,
but I was confused over the whole veil thing. But like I said, I
think it was the way the death was written. For me, anyway.
Beth chimes in:
I was a big Sirius fan, too, and I felt no emotion at ALL when he died. It
didn't even hit me until nearly the end, around the time Harry started asking
Nick to find him a loophole. By then the story was nearly over and the moment
had passed. I was especially distruaght by this lackluster death, because in
the end of GoF, I was *sobbing* through the whole ending; when DD was telling
the student body the real cause of Cedric's death, I was positively
inconsolable. And I really had no emotional attachment to Cedric, it was simply the action
of his death, and the reaction of DD and the students, that effected me. The
veil thing... I just didn't get it.
So you are not the only one!
