Along these lines, I always thought it curious that the Grangers and
other muggle parents send their children off to wizard boarding school
without first checking the credentials of the school. Does Hogwart's
offer tours to these parents during summer holidays? If so, how do
they get there? Special passes on the knight bus? That would scare
any muggle parent from trusting their child to an unknown magic
society.
I would assume muggle family members of wizardborn would be covered
under the Muggle Protection Act (MPA). Doesn't Petunia describe Lily
in PS/SS practicing magic during summer holidays? Or was the muggle
protection act enacted after her tenure at Hogwart's?
If there is such a clause, then Harry performing the patronus charm in
front of Dudley was doubly covered by escape clauses in the MPA. If
there isn't such a clause, then there should be. How does Hermione
practice when home for the holidays?
