That's precisely what's magic about it - otherwise it wouldn't be 
different than the vague images we make in our minds. And, if that 
were the case, it wouldn't be as dangerous as it is said to be. It's 
temptation lies in that it makes an image that extends beyond the 
imagniation, making it *almost* real. (It's that "almost" that drives 
people crazy - remember what Dumbledore said, that people go crazy 
before it because they can't decide whether what it shows is real or 
not. If it only showed figments of the imagination, it couldn't be so 
confusing and addictive.)
